First night in Cape Town... actually in Stellenbosch. Est. 1692 and still the very best wine producers of all SA. Original buildings and furniture and deco still there. Its splendor took my breath away! Unfortunately, the winter rains and clouds covered the mountains behind, but I thoroughly enjoyed the low clouds and gentle rain. A group of mountain cyclists were staying and heading into the mountains... and rain... and I was glad to not be among them on that day. Dined on haddok benedict and other sumptuous South African treats for breakfast. Words are insufficient.......
Looks like a place where mom and dad enjoy visiting.
